Post Harvest Process & Food Engineering
Pratibha Singh is Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT). She has acquired her Ph.D. in Food Process Engineering from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Prior to which she did Post Graduation Degree in M.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) with specialization in Post Harvest Process & Food Engineering and Graduation in B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) from College of Agricultural Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh).
Prior to her association with IIFPT, she worked as Manager, Production & Development (Food Products) in Winlex Impex Pvt. Ltd, Baddi (H.P.). In that she was heading product development team. As a part of the team, she was involved in development of product and process flow, job responsibilities; Quality Standards for RTE extruded products. She visited many Extrusion industries of China. She was coordinating all the activities of Production plant (From R & D to manufacturing). Earlier, she worked as a Food Technologist (R&D) in KCL Ltd., Faridabad (Haryana) and developed a wide range of extruded RTE breakfast cereals and intermediate products for Cadbury, Nestle and Marico.
She is teaching courses related to Food Process engineering, Fruits & Vegetable processing. Her research focus includes Extrusion cooking of cereals and pulses, Advances in Food Process Engineering, Bulk Storage of grains. She is also a member of professional bodies of AFST(I), ISAE & ISTE.
